The Diamond Children’s Play Zone will be a vibrant, 7,200-square-foot oasis for children in the hospital to engage in recreation and therapeutic play as they heal. It will be transformative, enabling Child Life Specialists to serve up to 40% more patients, supporting their mental health, and cognitive, physical and emotional well-being, which will reduce the trauma of being in the hospital and accelerate their recovery time. Your support will extend the Play Zone experience outdoors, providing space for our children to recharge and enjoy the healing properties of sunshine and fresh air which can be especially important for young patients with chronic conditions that require frequent and lengthy hospital stays.
