All of us have been touched by cancer and all of us can help make a difference for those fighting today!

By supporting the Home Away from Home campaign, you will help create a Patient Housing Assistance Endowment. Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center is treating more and more patients who travel greater distances for care. For these cancer patients and their supportive caregivers, the cost of adequate housing during treatment becomes a significant concern.

Banner Patient Navigators are discovering unsettling stories about patients sleeping in cars, in dangerous or unsanitary areas of town, or, in the case of stem-cell transplant patients, well outside of the safe distance required post-transplant. Some patients forego treatment altogether due to lack of housing. This endowment is a tool that can help these patients pay for a place to live while going through treatment. They have enough to worry about, lets help them not worry about a roof over their head and a place to comfortably rest.
