In Memory of Armando Figueroa Jr.

Donate Now

My son Armando Figueroa Jr. died peacefully at home in Tucson after a hard-fought battle with cancer on Sunday, November 2, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 29, 1977, in Douglas, Arizona.

Armando had been employed by Vroom, where he worked as a machinist up until his diagnosis, and was not able to return. Armando was talented and creative in many ways with hobbies ranging from carpentry to mechanic work.

He loved family and the unity of family; he loved being outdoors, camping, hiking and golfing. His favorite sports team was the Arizona Diamondbacks, and of course he loved to cook, BBQ and listen to music. He also served as a Knight of Columbus at Our Mother of Sorrows Church.

We don't know how we would have survived the journey without the support of many of our friends and family, and the compassionate care of all of the healthcare teams throughout his illness.

We would like to leave a legacy in his memory so that others are supported just as Armando (Maundy) was throughout everything.

Your donation will help support the University of Arizona Cancer Center Patient Assistance Fund.
